       The Babylonian Dynasty was a very large empire, one of the earliest civilizations that was both well-developed and full of rich culture. There are many artifacts to Babylon’s name, and in this blog post, we’ll be discussing those historically significant to the Babylonian Dynasty.       First up, is the Cuneiform tablet: a-she-er gi-ta, balag to Innin/Ishtar (2nd–1st century BCE). It is relics of a tablet that was made to record part of a balag, or a lamenting song that was accompanied by a stringed instrument. This one is written in Sumerian, with many Akkadian translations also inscribed beside it. This tablet contains a lament written from the perspective of Inna, a Sumerian “goddess of fertility”. It speaks about the destruction of her cities, and the tablet presents a long-lived literary tradition by the Temple scribes. Three Artifacts which Carry Babylon Legacy into Modern Day History

     The Babylonian Empire was a rich and complex kingdom- and one of the largest of its time. It was mixed with unique cultural traditions, lavish temples, and laws of its own. However, in Babylonian civilization, there were few artifacts that continued their legacy into future civilizations and generations. Today, we will be naming those artifacts that represent a carried legacy of Babylon. The first is cuneiform writing, then The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and last, but not least, Hammurabi’s Code. In this blog post, we’ll be discussing the nuances of these artifacts, their backstories, and how they continue their legacy till today. The first artifact we will be looking at is actually found in many different artifacts. The Fall of Babylon - Artifacts

       Many factors deal with the rise and fall of empires. The decline of the Babylonian Empire can be explained, however, by examining three artifacts: a fragmented ziggurat brick, a cuneiform tablet talking about economic strife, and a damaged relief with drawings showing foreign invasions. These artifacts, all together, illustrate the fall of religious, economic, and military pillars which contributed to the downfall of the Babylonian Dynasty.  Babylon - History Extra            Firstly, we can refer back to a fragmented ziggurat brick, connected to a broken wall of a ziggurat, to translate the dramatic fall of the Babylonian Empire. The ziggurat was a massive structure that was the core of Babylonian religious and cultural identity, and it is excavated proof of their spiritual worship.
